Affirmative Sentences ( હકાર વાક્યો )

વાક્ય-રચના :-

• ભૂતકાળમાં અમુક ચોક્કસ સમયે અમુક ક્રિયા ચાલી રહી હતી,તે દર્શાવવા માટે "ચાલુ ભૂતકાળ" વપરાય છે.

• જે વાક્યમાં when, while, as વગેરે જેવા શબ્દો વપરાયેલા હોય,ત્યારે "ચાલુ ભૂતકાળ" વપરાય છે.

ઊદાહરણ :-

1). I was reading a novel last night. 
 (ગાઇ રાતે હું નવલકથા વાંચતો હતો/વાંચી રહ્યો હતો.)
2). They were getting late. 
 (તેમને મોડુ થયુ હતું.)
3). It was raining at that time. 
 (એ વખતે વરસાદ વરસી રહ્યો હતો.)

Negative Sentences (નકાર વાક્યો)

1). He was not (wasn't) driving the car. 
 (તે કાર ચલાવી રહ્યો ન હતો.)
2). Rahul was not (wasn't) flying a kite. 
 (રાહુલ પતંગ ઉડાવતો ન હતો.)

૩). The boys were not (weren't) going to school. (છોકરાઓ શાળાએ જતા ન હતા.)
